Now… this is my favorite look that I have ever worn ( yes, even more than the previous look in the series ). Why? Because I think that the outfit depicts exactly how I aspire to dress every day and just generally who I want to be. Don’t get me wrong, I love to dress up differently for every occasion. But let’s just say that if I could choose the occasion, there would probably be a smart casual dress code every time. Also, even though not intentionally, this outfit includes many of the winter trends that were presented on the runway which, I must admit, brings some kind of validation to my choice, ha! Things like oversized shirts and the color red have been very evident on the runways so far in both New York and London.
I personally don’t really like bold colors but I do love burgundy. This sweater with geometric shapes from Zara has the perfect tone of burgundy/wine color and I knew I had to get it the moment I saw it a few weeks ago. One thing about trends is that you don’t necessarily have to follow them blindly. Each person is different in many ways, either that is skin color, body type or personality among others, and therefore not everyone is going to like the standard trends that fashion houses bring each season. Instead, all you have to do is interpret the trend the way that aligns with your style and makes you feel the best you can feel! Under this, I wore an oversized striped shirt to get that extra fabric hanging from the sweater and create a more relaxed version of the overall smart look. My shoes are from Shoeaholics, a website that I recently found out and have been obsessed with. Shoeaholics.com is the official outlet of Kurt Geiger which means that you can get many shoes ( even from the current season) at a discounted price.
Last but definitely not least, the “star” of the outfit would have to be the brown rucksack that Aspinal Of London kindly gifted to me. The bag is beautifully handmade using chocolate brown nubuck and Italian calf leather while the size is perfect for my day-to-day activities as it can fit both my 15-inch laptop and camera equipment. Sleek and practical, the Shadow Rucksack has grown to be my favorite luxury accessory that I can’t leave the house without!
Aspinal of London recently created a list of “Male lifestyle bloggers to watch” and I was honored to be picked along with many other great bloggers in the field. You can have a look at the complete list and read what Aspinal of London had to say about me here.
